Our Volunteers Support the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Kansas City

Hosting the FIFA World Cup™️ is a once-in-a-generation moment. It is a rare privilege for any city, and for Kansas City, it has been an incredible opportunity to welcome t

Proudly known as the “Soccer Capital of America®️,” Kansas City truly became the “Heart of the Game” during the FIFA World Cup 2026. As a defining host city, our region greeted fans from every corner of the globe with signature Midwestern hospitality, world-class venues, and an unforgettable celebration of the world’s game.

Volunteers from the Dialogue Institute of Kansas City and the Raindrop Foundation were honored to take part. Stationed at Kansas City International Airport (KCI) and the FIFA Fan Festival™️, our team helped create a warm, seamless experience for thousands of visiting fans.

For us, the World Cup is more than a sporting event—it is a celebration of community, friendship, and cultural exchange. As organizations devoted to interfaith dialogue and service, contributing to this milestone was a natural extension of our mission to build bridges across cultures.

To share a taste of our culture, our volunteers treated fellow staff and visitors to traditional Turkish baklava. The sweet treat was a huge hit, earning enthusiastic praise as “divine, heavenly, and scrumptious”—and creating one of the sweetest memories of the tournament.

We are deeply grateful to our volunteers for representing our organizations and our city with such warmth, generosity, and dedication. Their spirit of service helped showcase the very best of Kansas City to the world.
